Yesterday, when volunteering at a local hatchery, I noticed that there were Kokanees in the tank with the Brookies, Bows, and Browns. In full spawning colors these fish are certainly beautiful, and their seagoing cousins are no less beautiful. There are lakes around me, stocked full of these fish by the hatchery, and I want to pursue these fish with a fly rod. Any ideas for flies or techniques?
